Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, making sure they're evenly coated.
  3. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using) to the green beans. Toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
  4. Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they're not overcrowded.
  5. Roast for 12-15 minutes, or until the green beans are tender and starting to brown around the edges. Halfway through cooking, give the pan a shake or use tongs to flip the beans for even browning.
  6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and drizzle with lemon juice.
  7. Toss gently to coat the green beans with the melted parmesan. Serve immediately while hot and crispy!

Notes

For crispiest results, ensure green beans are completely dry before tossing with oil. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet. Frozen green beans can be used if thawed and patted dry thoroughly. Reheat leftovers in oven to maintain crispiness.
