Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil until evenly coated. Make sure every bean gets a light coating of oil to help them crisp up beautifully in the oven.
- Add the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the bowl. Toss everything together until the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the green beans.
- Spread the seasoned green beans in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. This ensures they roast evenly rather than steaming, which is key to achieving that perfect crispy texture.
- Roast for 12-15 minutes, or until the green beans are tender and starting to develop some crispy, browned edges. Halfway through cooking, give the pan a shake to ensure even roasting.
- Remove from oven and immediately toss with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh lemon juice. The residual heat will melt the cheese perfectly onto the green beans.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy. These make a fantastic side for creamy Tuscan salmon or any protein main course.
Notes
Don't overcrowd the pan for crispy results. Use fresh garlic and quality Parmesan. Serve immediately after cooking for best texture.
