- Wash and trim the green beans, removing the stem ends. Pat them dry with a paper towel to ensure they get nice and crispy when cooked.
- Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the green beans to the skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, tossing frequently, until they're bright green and slightly charred in spots but still crisp-tender.
- Pour in the soy sauce and continue cooking for another minute, tossing to coat all the beans evenly.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
Make sure your skillet is hot before adding the green beans for perfect sear without sogginess. Don't overcrowd the pan - cook in batches if necessary. For softer beans, blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes before stir-frying.
